How to save your money to for foods in Jakarta, capital city of Indonesia

I have lived in the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta, for more than five months now. I rent a small house and eat anything cheap just to fill my belly. How can I afford eating foods with my limited funds? Do not buy those tasty and expensive cakes or pizzas sold in the mall.

I like eating tempe so much. If you don't know what tempe is, it is our traditional foods made of fermented beans. Tempe is high in protein and is a healthy food especially for vegetarians. Every day, other than tempe, I eat eggs and noodles and sometimes chickens from Sury. She likes to cook for me. Our dinner, mostly done at home, is usually delicious sambal in a nearby warung.

My son in-law Agsya also likes fried chicken. He claps and smiles happily when we buy him his favorite fried chickens for lunch or breakfast. But Agsya, who is only 9 years old, also accepts it if he has to eat eggs and noodles. Also read: How to learn Photoshop editing in the Indonesian language.

In addition to our primary meals, we like to eat some snacks while watching movies on our ASUS laptop. Sury is our the ratu ngemil, or the queen of eating anything. We still buy some cheap snacks though.
