Indonesia ranks 10 for the fastest Internet connection among Asian countries

In Internet cafe, you can easily find people complaining about their game running slow, or their download isn't complete or their browsing takes forever. Internet access in this country is not fast comparing to other Asian countries such as Japan, China and South Korea.

Which Asian country has the fastest Internet access? According to the screenshot below which I took from Twiiter image of Bloomberg Indonesia, South Korea ranks number one, then followed by Japan,  Hong Kong, China and Singapore. Here in Jakarta, I use Wifi a lot to blog, download and connect to my friends in social networks. Indonesia's average connection is 2 MBPS. That's the fastest. Normally, you'll get only 50 to 200 KBPS. Korea is 14 MBPS while Malaysia, the neighboring country, is 2.3 MBPS.

With this slow Internet, sometimes you cannot watch YouTube videos or download one-giga-byte movies smoothly. The Internet is also very expensive here. For 2 GB data, you have to pay $2, quite a large ammount of money.
